Exclusive Reveal — “Jade Protocol” Is Coming Soon

A new sci‑fi action RPG with stealth DNA, cinematic storytelling, and a ruthless “one more run” loop is stepping out of the shadows: Jade Protocol has been shown to us ahead of time — and if the team delivers on what we’ve seen, this could be the kind of game you love and hate for keeping you up at 2 a.m.

What is “Jade Protocol”?

Jade Protocol is a narrative‑driven action RPG built around tactical stealth, fast melee strings, and a modular build system. The setting is a neon‑soaked megacity where corporations don’t just own data — they trade memories. You play a “Courier,” an illegal runner moving sensitive fragments: bio‑keys, AI shards, stolen identities.

The hook: every mission supports multiple solutions, but the game doesn’t simply reward “quiet” or “loud.” It rewards precision. Plan clean, execute clean, and you’ll earn better drops, more story fragments, and access to shortcuts that feel like insider knowledge.

Exclusive: the core system — “Resonance Builds”

The developers call it Resonance Builds. Instead of a traditional skill tree, you combine three modules that dramatically change how the game feels:

  • Frame (your base body): defines mobility, stamina economy, parry windows.
  • Glyph (your tactical core): reshapes tools (drones, decoys, EMP, blade overcharge).
  • Echo (your story perk): narrative choices that also grant gameplay advantages (e.g., access to black‑market hubs, alternate boss phases, new dialogue paths).

It’s easy to dismiss this as marketing language — but in the demo, the difference was immediate. One build played like an aggressive duelist that breaks enemy chains. Another felt like a ghost: rerouting cameras, marking targets, and preventing fights before they even start.

Campaign structure and playtime

Jade Protocol uses a hub structure with big missions that play like compact heists. Between runs you’ll return to:

  • a central hideout (upgrades, crafting, contacts)
  • faction contracts (corporate, underground, “Archivists”)
  • dynamic city events (ambushes, data leaks, manhunts)

The team is targeting 20–30 hours for the main campaign, plus endgame via “Black Routes” — harder variants of familiar missions with new enemy layouts and mutated boss mechanics.

Combat: fast, punishing, readable

What stood out: it’s stylish without becoming noisy. Hit feedback, audio cues, and animation language are tuned so you understand your mistakes. Parrying is viable, but risky — and if you rely on dodge‑rolling alone, the game will eventually corner you.

Tools aren’t just “gadgets,” either — they’re real tactics. EMP doesn’t only break shields; it can open routes, hijack drones, or even shorten boss phases if you read the environment.

Story tone: noir, but not cynical

Regular Mendrake readers know the deal: we like cyberpunk, but we’re allergic to empty cool. Jade Protocol hits a solid tone — dark, yes, but still human. “Memories as currency” is a strong theme, and the demo suggests choices won’t be simple good/evil toggles. They come with costs.

Release window and platforms

Officially, the line is: “soon.” Internally, the target is within the next few months. Platforms are planned broadly (PC and consoles), with details expected alongside the first proper gameplay trailer.

Why we’re watching this one

Jade Protocol looks like it understands what modern players actually want:

  • builds that truly feel different
  • missions with multiple solutions
  • a world that isn’t just set dressing
  • story that connects mechanics to consequence

If the studio nails performance and consistency (AI routines, stealth reliability, hit detection), this has real “we’ll be talking about it” energy.

Mendrake’s take

Let’s be direct: this is exciting. Not because it’s “new” in the never‑seen‑before sense — but because it’s combining systems that rarely work together in practice. That’s the opportunity.

Stay tuned — as soon as the trailer and date are official, we’ll follow up in Daily News format.
